I have installed 1gb ram but it show 896 mb memory

i have install two rams of 512,512 mb's of chace 433 but when i check the memory of ram it's show 896 mb..plz help me why it show 896mb?

Part of it is reserved by the onboard video.
In bios you have 128mb dedicated to the onboard video .

yeah man when you install 1gb ram your some memory will be shared thats why you can't have full 1gb ram just like mmc when you buy a 1 gb mmc it will shows upto 910 or i think about 850 mb

Built-in video are using some memory resources from your physical ram, so don't worry about that.
