No.

Your MoBo supports Ryzen 1st, 2nd and 3rd gen CPUs, while R5 4650G is 4th gen CPU.

Technically, you can "install" that CPU on your MoBo, but it won't work (PC won't boot up).

This is false. The board does support it. It is in its compatibility list. Most likely a Bios update will be required, to run it, though.

Also the 4650G is Zen 2. It isn't an actual 4th gen part.

Generations are relative, it’s a gen 4 part based on Zen 2, it’s not directly related to gen 3. Same as 6000 series is based on Zen 3 but still a different gen. Both have distinct features that set them apart.

It is a gen 3 APU. APU's started with the 2200g/2400g. For whatever reason AMD gave a new gen label, to a chip running on a previous gen architecture. 2200G/2400g was Zen, and the 3200g and 3400g were Zen+, with the 4000 APU's being Zen2. This confusion wasn't rectified until they decided to make all Zen3 based chips a 5000 series, which is a true gen 4. 6000 series is Zen3+. https://www.techpowerup.com/292118/...zen-6000-rembrandt-mobile-processors-detailed

No it’s not, gen 3 APUs are 3400g etc and are not Zen 2 based and also have half the L3 cache. This naming issue began with the laptops, because they wanted to set it apart one gen. With Zen 3 it was unified again. They all have differences you’re just nitpicking. 4000 APUs is way different, same as 6000 is different compared to 5000 APUs, it doesn’t really matter which Zen generation it is, the important thing is, it’s different. However I’m not saying the naming isn’t weird, it absolutely is.
