Can someone please help? I have windows 8 installed on my computer and my administrative account is missing in the local drive and all my apps are gone from the start menu. Is there any way to get them back and access my user folder?

Solution
Hi,

It might be possible that the profile path of your administrative account has been changed. To restore your administrative account folder back to its default location you need to follow the steps given below.

•Right-click Computer icon on the desktop and click Manage.
•On the Computer Management snap-in, expand local users and groups container.
•Once expanded, click Users.
•Right-click the user account whose profile path is to be restored to its default location.
•From the displayed context menu, click Properties.
•On the displayed box, go to Profile tab.
•Remove the path that is showing in the Profile path field and click OK.

Hope this helps.
