Solution

depends on what you want to do.
if you want to oc your cpu - the ones you chose are overclockable when combined with a p67/z68 mobo. a lot of p67/z68 mobos also let users use multiple cards in crossfire or sli.
if you want to keep your current mobo, the unlocked cpus' potential will remain locked - it will work at it's stock clockrate. in that case, you can save money by buying a cheaper cpu like core i5 2400.
using the h67 motherboard, single gfx card, locked cpu does not require high wattage psu, that's why i suggested the lower watt psus. additionally, cooler master...
cpu: for gaming, i5 2500k
cooler: cooler master hyper 212 evo
psu: seasonic s12ii 520w or antec neo eco 520c
or seasonic m12ii 620w or corsair 650 tx v2

gfx card: if budget allows, radeon hd 6850 or 6870
mobo: the overclockable cpu would benefit from a p67(b3 rev.) or z68 mobo like asus z68 vpro.
if you want to stick with your current mobo, try a locked cpu like core i5 2400.
edit: imo you will get better help if you ask in the system>homebuilt or new build section.

Sure ! or can you build one for normal gaming pc ?? haha
only for games like BF3, COD:MW3, Fallout 3, Skyrims, Deadspace, etc.. :D

what are the prices (of the components you chose) at your location? afaik, core i5 2500k is $30~ higher than core i5 2400 while 2600k is around $100~ higher than 2500k.

I'm malaysian. on my spot here, Core i5 2400 is RM590. Core i5 2500k is RM680. The different change to SGD around 40 SGD only. LOL
so, u prefer for Core i5 2400 or i5 2500k ?? >.< for me, if not much different (money), i prefer for i5 2500k. xD

from your prices, the 2500k seems RM 90 higher. can you use that to get a better gfx card like asus/sapphire radeon hd 6870?
if you're set on the 2500k and the 6790, it's okay.

The real value behind the Intel® Core™ i5-2500K is that it is unlocked. Since it will allow me to easly reach over 4GHz I am getting a lot more performance/value out of it then the small difference in price that you see. In the end the value on the Intel Core i5-2500K comes from what it can be over what it is at that moment.

thanks for the advise ^^
by the way, if using i5 2500k and H6850/ H6870, can you help me try to build a normal gaming pc ? hehe

if u want a kickass system in budget then this is what to be considered

i3 2150
asus h61 mobo
asus 6950 dc ii
seasonic 650w
2x4 gb gskill ripjaws 1600mhz
cm haf 912
60gb cruial m4 ssd
seagate 500 gb
optical drive

if u want to increase gpu horse power then do what i always say unlock and oc to 6970 and match to a 580 :D

i don't know how much 68xx cards cost in malayasia. if you could point me to a malayasian shopping site, i could have known the prices.
i was saying that if you're on a strict budget, you can get the cheaper cpu, save the money, invest it for a better gfx card. for gaming, gfx card takes priority.
if you can expand your budget, you could get the 2500k and a gfx card higher than the 6790, like 6850 or 6870.
alternatively, you could get a core i3 (it will perform less than a core i5 in gaming) and same more money, get an even better gfx card and later replace the core i3 with a newer ivy bridge core i5 cpu (when you have money to buy ivy bridge i5).

Okay. u try visit this site [http://www.lelong.com.my/], try search it.
now i still thinking about choosing for i5 2400 or 2500k. Any suggestion that if i choose for 6850 ?

by the way, i found that 6850 got lot's of name, like XFX 6850 or Sapphire 6850 or MSI 6850 or Gigabyte 6850 or Asus 6850.
Is that all the same just different company name ? or different company, different system ??
