Question I need some upgrades - help for a novice

Hey, I'm not super knowledgeable about building pcs, though I've done so before (volunteer work, building basic towers for Boys and Girls club) which was why instead of building my own pc I got a prebuild (a sin, I know) two years ago when I bought a desktop. Mostly I wanted it to house all of my voice acting files and adobe products, alongside running some games that I play with friends. Now that I'm looking to get into streaming, and streaming games, I need a massive upgrade.

All of this to say, I do work in IT so I'm not a total dunce when it comes to computers, but I mostly image iPads and 10 year old dells, so I don't exactly have my hand on the heart of the market or what I need to upgrade my machine. All I know is that it's not going to be cheap lol and I'm most likely looking at a full upgrade (motherboard, processor, everything).

My price is mildly flexible, but I'd really like some options in different price ranges just to compare and contrast. My main issue is right now, with the new games coming out, my pc can barely handle two monitors and a game. Even with my drawing tablet attached to it, my laptop still runs circles around my desktop. I wanted to do research beforehand to get ahead of Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals but the time has gotten away from me as I'm very busy this time of year.

Here's my specs--This is a Cyberpower prebuild, if that really matters:
Processor AMD Ryzen 5 5500 3.60 GHz
Display adapter AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT (this piece of crap is responsible for a lot of my stuttering, too)
Installed RAM 8.00 GB (7.79 GB usable) -- I have new ramsticks but I think they're seated too loosely, I've just not had time to check on why they're not being recognized as I'm pretty busy
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
Pen and touch Pen support
Any help or advice is greatly appreciated, thank you!

Much depends on how much you want to spend. See the link in my sig and please report back with all relevant information here, along with all your current system specs, including motherboard, and make/model of PSU.

You could potentially upgrade your current rig, depending on motherboard and PSU, which could be the easiest option.

Sorry for the long wait in response, I have legitimately been so busy I haven't even made it over here to respond. Thanks for the link to what to advertise when looking to build, I really appreciate it!

PSU: 100-240V 50-60Hz

Approximate Purchase Date: Nov 27th-Dec 2nd (trying to hop on Black Friday/Cyber Monday online deals)

Budget Range: Anywhere from $500-$1250 Before shipping -- but I could be a little flexible depending on if it's really worth it

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Streaming/gaming (usually same time), video and audio editing, writing, data storage

Are you buying a monitor: No

Parts to Upgrade: CPU, RAM, GPU, might need to replace the motherboard according to a friend but I'd like some different opinions.

Do you need to buy OS: Yes -- probably the motherboard

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: I really like newegg but I'm not opposed to new sites for a good deal

Location: Minnesota, south of the TC

Parts Preferences: All I know is the new Intel's have a massive bug otherwise I'm not picky

Overclocking: Maybe

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe

Your Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080

Additional Comments: I don't care how pretty it is so long as it's functional. I just don't want pieces bulging all over the place and if my system's garbage and I need to just invest in a whole new machine I'd like to know lol. This is a decent gaming pc for a beginner but it can't handle what I'm trying to make it do.

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: Running DA:Veilguard with streaming is impossible (blessing in disguise cause the game was a dissappointment in all aspects but visually). Also streaming+anything is jittery and really struggles, even if it's just to my friends in discord. I also have multiple cameras and would like to record them separately... and right now she's lagging.

Need make and model of power supply, and motherboard model. Newegg has been running some really good combo deals on the 5700x3d. If your current board is decent enough, you can just do a bios update and drop in upgrade. That leaves more money for graphics card.
Motherboard: Asus PRIME B550-PLUUS AC-HES Version Rev X.0x
Power Supply: Apevia Jupiter 800W

Thanks for your patience with me. It's been a decade since I've done this.
