I see a dent on my sound chip

Ok I was assembling my gaming PC when I was wiring it up I looked at my supremeFX X-FI 2 chip was dented a little I didn't have my DVD Drive hooked up. I decided to see if my PC would power up. I turned on the PSU and only the buttons at the bottom of my Asus Crosshair V Formula which were Start, Reset, and OC lit up. Everything was off not even the power button on my case or my PSU fan and LEDs. I fear it might be cause of the dented chip. Did I hook up the I/O chassis cords wrong to the motherboard because when I looked in my manual it only should a 2 whole power LED input when my case had two 1 pin power LED cords.

A dented sound chip will not prevent your PC from booting. As for your power LED cords, just put them where the 2 hole cord would go. you may have to switch them if the led doesn't light up.
