I think forteManager for LG Monitor is not working properly in winxp

Hello,

I have LG W2043C Monitor with W2043(Analog) driver installed. I have unknowingly downloaded fortemanager from LG downloads, there started all problems. After install of fortemanager it suggested for update of software, then it suggested 3 updates
1. imagebooster v1.8
2 again fortemgr 3.18
3. fortemgr older version

The support page is totally confusing..!!

i have downloaded imagebooster.. and it asked to restart system. then it messedup my display.

with some difficulty i could uninstall both softwares then my 1600x900 resolution came back.

Why this trouble i have encountered.

can you plz guide me.

and so it goes with free downloads, which should always be avoided.
you may actually use system restore, to return the drive to a time before you started loading garbage software
I'm not saying it will work, but it should work...

click start
click all programs
click accessories
click system tools
click system restore
check the box that says restore my system to an earlier date
click next
choose a bold date on the calender that is before the problem started
click next
follow the directions
after restore, restart the computer

Soundguru, you are right, I should have not tempted to experiment in future. Of course I update my system from Windows/Intel. But that time I ventured to try those software progs. Whatever may be now my system is working perfectly.
