I dont know if this is a feature of windows xp, but has anyone noticed their harddrive doing some funky reading (intermittent activity, every half a second) when the system is in idle?

As soon as my puter would go on standby the harddrive would start working overtime as if something important is going on. It was doing it last night until i stopped the standby mode. When i was going to bed the harddrive started doing the intermittent access thing and was still going at it when i woke up.

Im not sure if there is something wrong or if this is a function or something, if anyone knows something please share it with me.

That would be Bill Gates taking record of your files while he thinks you're not looking. The record goes into a small compressed, hiden file somewhere in the OS, and is sent to MS when you're doing other things on the internet, so you won't notice. It's a cooperative effort with the DOJ to track terrorist comunications, kiddy porn, and illegal MP3 activity on the internet. Why do you think MS still hasn't been broken up by the DOJ? They cut a deal!

It's "top secret" of course, the only way you'll find information about it is to look at newsgroups and so forth where computer hackers have caught on to the red flags and are attempting to criple this stuff with a "virus" that does nothing more than stop your computer from spying on you.
