I want best 7.1 soundcard for gaming.

Should I buy Sound Card XONAR ESSENCE STX ? Is it 7.1 ? Sound blaster Zxr better or Sound Card XONAR ESSENCE STX is better? Is Sound Blaster zxr 7.1? Or Asus Rog Xonar Phoebus is better? Asus Rog Xonar Phoebus is 7.1? Should I buy 7.1 headphone for 7.1 soundcard?
I am so confused guys plz tell me. It will be so helpful if you tell me step by step.

i have asus xonar essence stx, its stereo with emulate surround, does the job really nice. just make sure you enable the good windows setup for it

The STX can provide 7.1 output with an expansion card sold separately. I'd personally recommend a USB option, as they're more reliable an can provide cleaner outputs. You could also run a digital output (SPDIF/HDMI) to an AV receiver. There are some solid options available at comparable prices to the STX. Receivers have also given me less trouble when configuring them.
