Hi guys pls help me... Because of my budged I can buy an an i3 6100 or an i5 4460 for almost the same price ( the build with i5 is like 20 dollars more expensive , the difference is because of the MoBo for i3 and the rams ddr4 are a bit more expensive (MSI H110M PRO and 2 Kingston HyperX Fury DDR4 2133 Mhz. vs MSI H81M-E33 and 2 Kingston HyperX Fury DDR4 1600 )

Im from Chile

I play mostly mmo games and mobas.

I want to know what would you do, thinking on the future, etc

This is my first PC , and I dont see me wasting more money for atleast 1 year (or 2 ), im so nervous for finally build it but I dont want mistakes in the future.

Thank you !

I recommend the i3-6100.

Games like sims, MMO, and strategy games depend on the single master thread for performance.
The I3-6100 is a very capable gamer, particularly for your types of games. Few games can make use of more than 2-3 threads. The i5 will be a touch better only when all 4 threads are in use.
I disagree with Gingerbread on this one, the Skylake (6100) build offers you the opportunity to improve over time, whereas the Haswell (4460) chip is end of life (though certainly still quite capable today). The i3-6100 is quite capable at that.

All of that being said, if you don't want to invest any more money into this in the near future, then go with the i5.

So you disagree but if he is not going to upgrade for a long time, you agree. Curious.

I suppose that I worded that funny. I agree that the i5 is better, but it limits the upgrade path in the future.
