I just saw the i5-3750k for sale on newegg.

It's priced higher than I expected. $250. I had heard it might be $212 or $225.
Now, I'm kinda hoping I can get a i5-2550k for $200 or less.

Is it worth an extra $30-50? I don't think so.

well.. if u got pci-e 3.0 mobo and sli/xs gpu with 3.0. then maybe i would think about getting the ivy bridge or sb-e. since it scale very well with the pci-e 3.0.. even better 3way sli and unbeleaveable fast in 4way...

then there is the heat problems which i heard ivy bridge may have...

im buying new rig and i just gotta have the IB

I bought the i5-2500k. I was underwhelmed by the new Ivy Bridge. Is it tick or zzzzzzz?

2500k should be fine, IB still isn't the best for overclocking, but fine otherwise.

3570k is $190 at microcenter, 2500k is $170, you also get $50 off of a motherboard!
