i5 4440 good enough?

Hey guys this is my first build ever and I am getting an i5 4440 processor. Is this is a good choice? I won't be over clocking and all I will be doing is playing games on it with some school work. I just want something that looks better than an xbox one or ps4.

what!? you wanna pay 194$ for a cpu that can't be overclocked!? I don't recommend you pay this much for this cpu grab an fx 8350, fx 8350 is far better than i5 4440 and is comparable with i5-3570k

My motherboard is the Asus maximus VI Hero. It has the 1150 socket so i can't use AMD. Is there another intel processor I can use that will be better than the i5 4440?
