May someone explain "Boost clock" ?
The base clock for this CPU is 3.5GHZ, and the MAX turbo clock is 4.0GHZ. Whenever I look at my CPU clocks, it is always on 4GHZ constant even when I have NOTHING open. Should I be worried about this? Aren't turbo frequencies only there when it NEEDS to push itself harder?

Thank you.

Sorry, also have to disagree, that 4.0Ghz should probably only be hit on a single core heavy workload. At idle it should be at 1.6 (or similar) it may only be down there for fractions of a second. At a multi core workload it will hit maybe 3.7/3.8.

There's an option to Sync all cores when the cpu uses turbo but not to force. Overclocking non k versions to force turbo is becoming harder. Only way i know of besides a bios hack is through Window's power management.
