Im wondering if i7 2600k is better than i7 2600 if you dont over clock it (stock) or are they the same at stock?

Oddly, Intel lists the clock speeds as the same base clock and turbo clocks, same 95W TDP, etc...

(I would have expected the 2600K to be a few hundred MHZ faster, but, after reviewing Intel's spec sheets, it's hard to say the 2600K would be better except for overclocking...)

In CPU performance, they should be.
It wasn';t until IvyBridge that the "K" skus shipped with slightly higher base/boost clocks.

IIRC, the iGP front is a little different, with the 2600K getting HD3000(?) vs 2000 on the 2600.
The difference is pretty negligible though regardless.

Nope. See here:

https://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i7-2600K-vs-Intel-Core-i7-2600/621vs620

http://www.cpu-world.com/Compare/496/Intel_Core_i7_i7-2600_vs_Intel_Core_i7_i7-2600K.html

The 2600K is faster across the board, albeit the devil is in the details regarding why. Baseline performance from a user perspective would be nearly identical.
Already looked at this link but wasnt sure if K has been overclocked on this link or not... imma get 2600k then thanks :)
