[SOLVED] I7 6700 or i5 7600k for gaming & general use

Hi.

I currently have an i5 6600 non K and have an option to grab an i7 6700 non K or an i5 7600K.

If I did grab the 7600K I don't think I would be overclocking but in your opinion which cpu will give best overall performance in highest FPS and stability? I play a large array of games and also general pc usage.

I'm leaning to the i7 at the moment any ideas please?

I would go with the K even at stock speed its 400Mhz faster clocked at base frequency.
CPU wise they are fairly equal if they were clocked the same except the i7 has hyperthreading for a slight boost, whose gains may have been mitigated with all the Meltdown/Specter patches.

You have a nice motherboard, if you have a decent cooler I would at least do an all core 4.5Ghz on the K.
