Hi. I have read loads of postd etc on clocking i7 920 and p6t del. The big problem is I can't get my bclk frequency past 170. I think it may be the memory settings but I dont know where to set these. I have Ocz 3g1600lv3gk. Ocz recomend these settings.....dram v 1.65v....uncore multi 24...mem multi 12...timming 8-8-8-24. THE ONLY SETTING HERE i CAN FIND IS DRAM V.
these are my settings.
aI tweaker manual
cpu ratio 20.0
bclk fz 170
pcie fz 100
dram fz.....1523mhz
uclk fz 3047
qpi link date..6857mt/s
cpu v 1.35
cpu pll v 1.88
qpi/dram core v 1.35
ioh v 1.10
ioh pci v 1.5
ich pcie v 1.5
dram bus v 1.64
anyone?

All the link shows that there is a section called DRAM timing that you can use to adjust the settings. This should help the overclocking.

For testing purposes, you should try to reduce the memory frequency to as low as it goes. That way, you know the memory isnt causing the problem, its all the cpu or mobo.

The DRAM timming section is a mindfield to me..trip latacy....write to read delay...cas latacy...etc. I set the memory frequency low. There is a memory divider settings somewhere and the option is 800mhz and 1066mhz, but i havn't found that section yet. Only had a few looks into bios.
which is the best CPU temp monitor program? It would be nice to have one that ran in the task bar, just like the windows clock does

Drop uncore to 16 and mem to 8 and give it another try.

At 170 with your settings the ram is running around ddr 2000. dropping uncore and mem to 16 and 8 should give you plenty of headroom to eliminate mem as your problem. After you find you max at those settings you may be able to change to 10 and 20 for mem/uncore (they need to stay at a 2:1 ratio.)

This is my problem. I cant find these settings. I found uncore, now I cant find it. By the time I get used to these bios I won't need them. I must admit I am rubbish at ram settings

My mag says memory divider has 2 options 800mhz and 1066mhz. I looked in bios and it says these options are only available for locked cpu's. My options start at 1000 and something. I set it to the lowest and tried qpi of 180....blank screen.
