I7 build. need a final look before i buy.

been working on this build almost a week. I'm not really good at this stuff, only know the basic.
trying to build a pc that is future proof, that would last at least 2-3 years
I'm a very heavy mutitasker, light gamer, wanting to play crysis and far cry 2 at high setting.
my total budget is around 1600$ nothing more then 1800$

using my old sata dvd drive and 34" lcd

dont know much about video cards, wanting to spend around 300$ on it. should i get 2 9800GTX+ in sli or 1 GTX280?
if i want to run crysis at 1920X1200 is 8800gt 1gb memory in sli better then 9800gtx+ 512mb memory sli?

im really noob at this so please help, im kinda in a hurry to finish this build so if someone have some free time on there hand please aim me at "Itzsenxd" all help are greatly appreciated ^_^

You are paying too much for a not so great PSU. Go for the PC P&C 750w silencer Red (if you don't care about having a red PSU, its an awesome value) or the Corsair 650tx. If you wanted to SLI later, then go for a larger PSU, like the Corsair 1000hx, but that might be out of your budget. You could just get a smaller PSU now and get a larger one later when you upgrade.

Again paying too much for those GFX cards, The 9800GTX+ is overpriced IMO. Good options for you would be the HD 4850x2 or 1 GTX 280, both will do better than those SLI 9800GTX+'s. Single GPU solutions are better because less performance is lost due to scaling, and it frees up another slot for you to add another GPU later down the road.

You don't need liquid cooling, air will be enough. That mobo will OC high enough to produce temps that require water cooling. I'd say get the Scythe Mugen 2, S1283 with the LGA 1366 mounting bracket, Coolermaster V8, or Thermalright Ultra Extreme. With money saved here, you can put more money into a GPU, like the GTX 285, which would be best if you want to max Crysis on 19x12 res.

The difference between the two hard drives is where the sata connectors are. For your case either will do. The HLFS is the newier verison of the drive and that's why there hasn't been all the newegg reviews on it yet. There should be no preformance difference. The HLFS supports standard Hot swapping, which I dought you'll be doing.

So with that being said get the cheaper.

Graphic card wise, Doing what the kid said, try and get the GTX 285 if possible.

recommend the PC red 750w or the Corsair 750w psu

Same in cpu cooling, S1283 with the lga 1366 retention bracket.
