I7 Gaming on only 4 threads decrease CPU load?

Hi guys, i play Ghost Recon Wildlands and have a stable 62fps with my i7-6700 and a CPU load on 70%.
I figures out if i turn 4 HT out off those 8 HT in Taskmanager i maybe help, so i did.
I then got stable 63fps and a CPU load on 50%, how does it make sense
My question is, the gameplay looks great still, smooth and everyhing, but when i do this trick it feels like i have a micro input lag, like if you turn on V-sync, or is it just placebo and in my mind it feels so?

Programs/games that don't use more than 1, 4 or whatever cores do not benefit of more cores.

i understand that, but if HT is enabled and i remove the 4 threads in taskmanager, will that cause input delay?
