Icon display problems

yes,the icon display on my pc just dis appeared and i dont know what happened.I have asked some pc tech and they told me my pc needs reprogram.Is that so the right thing to do?thanks for helping me ...

If you have not run a virus scan with malwarebytes

Then please do so in order to verify that this is not virus related.

If it is not a virus then Windows has become corrupted and will need to be repaired, either with your OEM disc it you have it. Or by recovery.
