I have a prebuilt eMachines ET-1641

When I try to boot off of my IDE drive, I immediately get a BSOD. There are three options in BIOS, SATA, AHCI, and RAID. I'm currently using AHCI and I can't boot. When I boot off my SATA drive (still on AHCI, mind you) and try to use the IDE drive, it says I need to format it. Trying to do so leads to a failure (not a BSOD, just windows could not format the drive).

Any idea why this isn't working? I've tested both IDE drives I have, and neither work (giving the same BSOD), so the drives aren't dead.

Thanks,

Steve.
