Looking to flash correct bios into this fake 1060 6gb to see if it can be any kind of useful. The chip num was scratched off and I cant seem to find the bios chip. Any help you be great. Only thing Ive identified is 1206A1 which i think is prod date, but im not too versed in that.

Searching the text on the chip, "12C2B263 1206A1", leads to...

What makes you think it can be 'flashed' to be something other than what it is...a very crappy low end device, firmware changed to report as 'better than it is'.

It is a piece of crap. Hope you didn't spend more than $10 on it.

Well yea, I know its crap but if I can get it to be a crappy gpu that can get drivers installed and function normally it would be cool. Not sure what you wanted to convey in your message there.

There is no "normal".

Does it actually work to display a video out to a monitor?
That is all you will ever get.

You can't make it into a 1060, even though that is what it reports itself as.

one thing you could try to do is find out what that fake GPU really is. Find out what it is, then flash the bios for that specific card?

I remember during the gpu crisis.. fake 1050ti were rampant. These "1050ti" were actually GTS 450 being disguised by scammers. There was at least one youtube video where a person succesfully fixed the fake 1050ti, and he ended up with a functioning GTS 450.

That is what I'm trying to do. I just cant find anything about the actual card by searching the numbers.

There are six 1Gb GDDR5 memory chips there. And just one 6 pin power connector. The oldest GPU with such PCB configuration is gtx 1060 6Gb. However the GPU die does not seem to look like GP106. If that's the case there is no chance to make it working at all.
