[citation][nom]wasteoftime[/nom]...To be honest I don't even really hate Macs (I don't use them nor will I ever)...[/citation]
You do understand what you just said right? You don't hate Macs but you've never used one nor will you ever? Sure sounds like you hate Macs. How are you able to determine that you would NEVER use a Mac unless you had some real experience to make such a statement? So you've judged something you have no experience with (and admit it) -- you see, that's the problem -- it's called a closed mind, pre-Judgement. Closed minds are often full of hate. Hate is a dead end road with A LOT of insecurity behind it and lack of knowledge.
[citation][nom]wasteoftime[/nom]...I think a fair amount of the Tom's audience feels the same way....[/citation]
You have no clue what Tom's audience feels -- if so, show me a survey of Tom's readership, show me how many members participated in the survey. Again, making big assumptions with no supporting evidence.
[citation][nom]wasteoftime[/nom]...and are written from a standpoint that a lot of people don't even take them seriously anymore....[/citation]
This doesn't even make any sense, how on earth are you able to determine this? -- again whos are these "a lot of people"? Is this more survey's that don't exist, more assumptions?
The articles are lacking in areas, and I may not agree with some of them, or they do have some truths but it's not the entire picture. But regardless, I certainly don't HATE anyone at Tom's (and BTW, it is guys and gals if you bothered to look at the picture).
But this just amplifies the maturity of the Windows fanboy posters here at Tom's -- hating someone because they have a different opinion is childish and insecure. If you have a strong opinion about something, bring the facts and debate -- but if you debate from a closed mind, your debates are ALWAYS going to end the same way.
I don't hate Windows 7, it has a lot of issues and I think OSX is a better operating system, but that does NOT mean I hate Windows 7. It means that I feel Windows 7 is really just Vista SP3 with GUI face lift -- and if you look under the hood, that's exactly what it is - so if folks don't like Vista, they probably will not like Windows 7. I've brought a ton of real tech to my debates, but I still use Windows 7, I use Vista, I use WinXP, I use OSX, I use Linux. It's not a religion -- it's an OS.
And for the record, you can overclock Macs and more often than not (yes I have tested this myself), Linux and OSX are a LOT more stable on overclocked hardware.
