I recently enabled IIS on a computer i keep in S3 standby more whenever its
not in use. I would like it to only wake up when there is a web request.
After enabling IIS and setting my network adapter to be able to bring the
computer out of standby my computer always comes out of standby within a
minute or 2. If i disable the IIS server or disable the network adapter being
able to bring the computer out of standby it works fine. Is there a way to
configure IIS to be idle unless it recieves a request?

Hi,

Web servers need to be running always so that it can receive requests. It is
not recommended to run IIS in the scenario that you have mentioned.
