The only spec worth mentioning is the Hisense has Dolby Vision. Otherwise I"m wondering which to buy, the reason I'm having trouble is I own a 58in Hisense and a 65in TCL both are great and I can't choose, so help is appreciated. Thanks, oh and they aren't OLED- QLED, or anything just your basic 4k Wal-Mart televisions- as said only Dolby Vision differs the two, in favor of Hisense.

What are the model numbers?

I apologize for the large delay in response, my notification that someone replied didn't get sent to my e-mail, Sorry again.

So here are the models:

https://www.walmart.com/ip/TCL-75-C...assType=REGULAR&athbdg=L1102&adsRedirect=true

I believe the Hisense is the same as my 50in, so it has VRR - Dolby Vision and DTS-X

The TCL is really basic, but I have one that is 65in and its lasted 4 moves and works really well despite only having HDR 10 for movies - games.

I like both so its difficult - also the TCL I believe as 1 additional HDMI port than the Hisense.

Following "Digital Trends" and "RTings(dot)com" played a big part in helping me decide on a TV for PC.
I picked up a 48" LG B4 OLED at Best Buy for $600.

Oled's especially LG's are amazing however with me wanting a 75in+ I have to stick to Wal-Mart TV's to afford them, as it has to be under 600 for that size.

i got a couple of the TCL 65" tv's on black friday sale. $225 each!! looks like the same as the 75" you looking at. great for the money and i do like the Roku TV part of it.

just from familiarity of it, i'd go that way. not had one of the other brand but i've not seen anything negative about them either.

specs are pretty much the same so it's really a coin toss. if you were dropping $5000 on one, i'd look a lot closer, but on the budget end, if it has the input/outputs i need, it gets the nod :)

Televisions these days are basically the same as laptops. You get what you pay for.
There's no possibility for future upgrade ability. You're stuck with the display and processor that the model comes with.
Thus, the sku's within your budget must be thoroughly researched to comply with your expectations.

As someone who is a die hard videophile, but also poor. I would say you're wrong. A bad laptop is just bad. A "bad" TV can be good for the right person - with the right expectations, hence why I pick large TV's from Wal-Mart.

A TCL, Hisense, Lg, or Samsung bought at Walmart, at any price point with blu ray drive hooked up will at least display a good 1080p image. A laptop bought at Wal-Mart bought at any price point however guarantees nothing like that, for instance you buy a game for it, it's not going to run on a potato. However a blu ray or 4k disc player will run on a potato TV. :)

Brands don't matter, especially when focusing only on the department store junk that they rely upon to get you into the store. Again, you get what you pay for.

Well department store junk or not, I hate to break it to you but Amazon - Bestbuy online, is still department store junk. So unless your going into a Chinese factory and stealing a TV model that isn't even boxed yet, its what you consider to be "department store junk". Also Junk is subjective, I guess you're on your throne being high and mighty with your rich cash demanding the best from everything. Must feel great!

I think @williamjeremiah is offering some sound advice.

I've recently purchased a Samsung 65in DU8000 TV, and I have to say I love it. But it has it's limitations. Price paid definitely reflects on how good the TV is. For me, I'm happy with the purchase. I did look at Hisense and TCL models, and although they were slightly more affordable, I went with the Samsung.

What's funny here is that the panels used in some Samsung TV's are often TCL made. So you're getting the same output at whatever res/settings used and from different manufacture's. Both LG and Samsung also provide panels for other companies. I guess the point I'm making here is that often, brands don't matter. They are mostly using the same tech for the more budget friendly options anyway.

As suggested, whatever TV fits your budget and gives you what you want, is the way to go. There's no real deep dive needed on those TV's in that price range. They are all close to each other in terms of performance.

Other things like the number of ports or what type, played more of a roll in my selection.

Rtings is my go to for TV/Monitor reviews.

When I said "junk", I was referring to the "Attention Grabber" merchandise which is often manufactured specifically for certain stores, for them to sell at or near cost.
They are willing to lose money on specific models in order to increase the chance of customers buying other items while there, such as accessories which they can make more money on, or a customer may decide to pay more for another model which has a more desirable feature-set.
