Question I'm getting random "amdkmdag.sys" crashes on an MSI laptop ?

Hello guys,

I just purchased an MSI Delta 15 laptop from a seller in the US. It keeps getting random amdkmdag.sys crashes even when no application is running and I have tried several fixes but it still happens.

I have reinstalled both Windows 10 and 11, tried the official drivers from both the MSI website and AMD, and updated BIOS, and firmware, dragonized the RAM using Windows memory tool but no problem was detected.

I am currently out of ideas and regret purchasing AMD-exclusive hardware coming from an Nvidia laptop. Can someone please guide me on how to solve this? Thanks.

Look in Reliability History/Monitor and Event Viewer.

Either one or both tools may be capturing some error code, warning, or even an informational event just before or at the time of the crashes.

Start with Reliability History. Easier to use and undertand and the timeline may reveal patterns.

Then try Event Viewer. Requires more time and effort but may likewise provide some clue.

Thanks for the response. I have checked both Reliability History and Event Viewer.

Hello guys, I ran a memory test using memtest86+, and their no errors. I also installed Kali Linux to observe the laptop and everything seems to be working fine and I was able to extend my display by connecting an external monitor.

I am still confused as to why Windows is getting amdkmdag.sys and Event Viewer shows the error is from ntoskrnl.exe.
