My prev. Build and my planned build:

CPU: i5 650 to i7 870
GPU: igpu (Intel HD graphics family ) to 1660 Super
RAM : 8gb DDR3 to 16gb DDR3
ROM : 1tb Seagate Barracuda HDD + 240gb Kingston SSD
M.Board : ( I can't gain any info about the model but it's a p55 type )

Stock Coolers

I need some advice to decide my SMPS (or PSU)

Other Alternative Solutions are also welcome

Guys! I got a new idea... for even lower price.. Pls check if it's worth it!

CPU: i3 12100
MoBo: MSI Pro H610M G
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 2*8gb
GPU: UHD 730 (later upgrade to a dedicated GPU)
ROM: 1tb Seagate Barracuda +240gb Kingston SSD as boot drive
Still stock Coolers (need cheaper ideas)

I think I will be buying a 550 watt psu what do you guys think

Any other suggestions are also welcome

For your motherboard, download a program calles CPU-z
https://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html
Run it, and look at the motherboard tab.

What PSU do you have now ?
For running your planned upgrade, a good quality PSU of at least 450w would be perfect.

Where are you situated, and where can you buy ? And budget ?
I'll try to look up my MoBo. . I have also changed my plan, please look my reply below.. Thanks 😊

That's certainly a better idea than your original post.

What is your total budget and where are you located?

What PSUs do you have available between 500 and 700 watts?

Any from Seasonic, Super Flower, EVGA, Corsair?

If you still have money to spend after you choose all components, I would upgrade the CPU to i3-12300 or i5-12400 if possible.

Available PSU in my locality:
  1. EVGA 650 BR 80+ Bronze
  2. Corsair CX750M 80 Plus Bronze
  3. Corsair CV750 80 Plus Bronze
  4. EVGA 750 BQ 80+ Bronze
  5. Seasonic S12II 620 BRONZE

Also I thought after building this, I would upgrade to a 13th gen processor later in the future. (as that too uses a lga 1700 socket).
This is just for editing and a little gaming
What's you opinion....

I'm not excited about any of those power supplies.

Do any of them have at least a 5 year warranty?

Yeah, you should be able to upgrade to a 13th gen CPU if you have a 12th gen board. You will probably have to update the BIOS. But it remains to be seen how much an improvement you will get with a 13th gen CPU at the same price level. Maybe 10 percent?

Actually I'm buying it all online...
Only EVGA's has a 3-year warranty on it...

And if the 13th gen didn't perform well, I'll upgrade to a core i9 of 12th gen, or simply buy a dedicated GPU...
