Hello Tom's Hardware community! I currently Have a Corsair Vengeance full tower case, and I'm planning to do an upgrade that will be around $1000. I also want to protect my case from falls and impacts, while giving it a rugged sort of industrial aesthetic. So i'm wondering If I could build a impact reduction housing using rubber and other shock absorbing materials that would go around my case, like a roll cage. And if so, would this actually prevent damage to the internal hardware from falls, tipping, etc? Thank you so much for helping me.

Solution
Bubble wrap.

Seriously....what are you trying to protect against?
Out of several dozen personal PC's, the number I've had fall over is zero.

Of hundreds of work PC's...the number I've had fall over is maybe 2. The number broken from those 2 falls is zero.

If you want to do it because it looks cool, go for it.
