Question incorrect cable. please use the dual link DVI cable that came with your monitor

I bought a second hand Benq zowie xl2411 monitor and use a dual link cable dvi, my specs are intel core i7-3770, gtx 1060, 16gb ram, and every time I change it to 144hz my monitor becomes blurry and there is a text that says "incorrect cable dvi please use the dvi dual link cable that came with your monitor" and I have updated the monitor and gpu drivers to Please assist me; I've been stuck for nearly a year.

Not all DVI dual link cables are the same. Make sure that yours specifically states that it will handle 144Hz.

Are you sure, you know difference between single link and dual link DVI cables?
Can you show a photo of DVI cable end connectors for your DVI cable?

Also your current cable might have dual link connectors, but internally only single link connected.
