Is it possible for me to increase my fan speed whilst gaming but keep it the same whilst idle? In Overwatch, my graphics card hits 80 degrees which is safe, but ideally I would like it to be lower.

I have downloaded MSI afterburner, but I'm completely new to it and other applications like it. Help is appreciated.

Solution
just increase your fan speed before gaming , that's simple as it gets .
or tweak your fan speed curve , so that fan speed would increase if temp increases

Open Afterburner, click on the Settings button near the bottom right, go to the Fan tab, modify the curve to make the fan speed rise to whatever % you want at whatever temperature you want. Here's an example of how I ran my Titans when they were on the stock cooler. When you're done making your curve, make sure to have the Auto and User Define buttons selected so that your curve will take effect.
