Question input lag only in games

ive been having input lag in all my games recently after a windows 11 reinstall. on my desktop and certain games my mouse feels fine but in most games my mouse feels super delayed i have reinstalled video drives, mouse software even windows its self and it still feels laggy in games

CPU cooler: Corsair icue link titan 360
Motherboard: Asus Rog Strix z790a Gaming WIFI II
Ram: Corsair vengeance RGB 32 gb 6000 MT/s
SSD/HDD: 3x 2tb wd black sn770
GPU: Msi 4080 Gaming X Trio
PSU: Corsair rm850x currently 4 years old
Chassis: Corsair 3500x
OS: Windows 11 version 24H2
Monitor: MSI 322URX QD-OLED

Did you recreate the installer for your OS, to rule out a corruption? Did you install the OS in offline mode? Which driver version did you install for your RTX 4080? Did you manually set the resolution and refresh rate for your monitor in Nvidia's Control Panel? BIOS version for your motherboard?

Speaking of motherboard's, when posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, it's customary to include your full system's specs. Please list the specs to your build like so:

SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time.

sorry its my first time posting here i did recreate the installer for my OS i didnt install in offline mode. my current drivers are 576.28. i did manually set my resolution and refresh rate in nvidia control panel and im using the display port cable that came with my monitor. Current bios version is 1801.

Download and install 566.36 driver. The 572.xx and 576.xx drivers are terrible and cause a lot of issues.

Have you checked the frame rate just to make sure it is just the input?

It may also be useful to make sure the video card is operating correctly with GPU-Z (this will show usage, clock speeds and power consumption).
