Hey guys when I click 1280 x 960 it says "input not supported" on my screen and it goes black. Do you know why this is and how I could fix it? When I try to change the resolution in Windows it's fine, however when I switch it on in any video games such as CS:GO and R6 it says "input not supported" and gives me a black screen.

I've already tried:
  • Updating my drivers
  • Booting into safe mode
  • I've also tried running Windows at 1280x960 which works but when I launch any games and change their resolution to 1280x960 the error still occurs
  • Changing my resolution on Windows safe mode that way but the change display option is greyed out.
I have a Radeon RX 5700 and a Ryzen 5 3600 if that's helpful, with a Dell monitor running Windows 11. Sorry if this is off-topic for Windows 11 but I've searched everywhere and haven't been able to find a solution. Thank you so much for your help in advance

I figured it out. Apparently, 4:3 isn't supported on 75hz so I must just make the custom resolution to 60hz and it works fine. Thanks for all your help

Which specific dell monitor and what is its default native resolution?
Its native resolution is 1920*1280 60hz according to the error screen, however, the monitor is rated for 75hz with AMD free sync. I subsequently run it at 75hz. I think it's the Dell SE2422H 23.8-inch Full HD 8ms LCD Monitor. I am also running Windows 11

That is 1920x1080 screen.
Model number should have been printed on back of the monitor.
Easy to check. No need to guess.

Try resolution 1280x720 instead. That is proper 16:9 resolution, compatible with your monitor.

The issue is that I would like to play 1280x960 4:3 stretched instead of 1920x1280. The resolution used to work but now has suddenly stopped

Upon further inspection, this is the correct monitor, the Dell SE2422H 23.8-inch Full HD 8ms LCD Monitor.
