Input to Laptop Screen Broken

One day I dropped my laptop off of my bed accidentally and ever since when I turn it on there is no input to the screen and just black. I know that no parts are broken and its the input because I have connected it to a monitor with a hdmi cord and it works perfectly. Is there a way I can get into the laptop and fix the input from the parts to the screen. The laptop is a hp pavilion 15-au010wm (energy star). Thanks.
