Hello,

I plan on getting an MSI GTX 660 to replace my GTX 550 TI. im using the lastest 306.97 driver which supports the lastest GPUs. So shouldnt I be able to just power off, and insert the new card without any issues?

System specs (just in case)

Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium [64-bit]
-Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2600 Quad-Core 3.4 Ghz Processor [up to 3.8GHz, 8MB cache]
-8GB DDR3-1333MHz SDRAM [2 DIMMs]
-2TB 7200 rpm SATA III HDD
-1GB 192bit GDDR5 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti (306.97 Driver)
-Motherboard - Pegatron IPISB-CH2 (contains the H67 Chipset)
-600W PSU

its always better to install the drivers again as it would be installed in different manner i suppose. Also your cards are from different family all together even if does not make any changes how much time it would take uninstall the drives & install it again.

They use the same drivers folks...
