Question Install an additional SSD in an HP 15s-du1114TU laptop ?

Hi all,

I have an HP 15s-du1114TU laptop and I'm planning to install an additional SSD because the system is very slow. However there is only one SATA slot and no M.2 slots. I want to know if I'm able to add an additional SATA port for an M.2 SSD using the slot in the below image (circled in red) of the motherboard ?

Motherboard model is listed as Type1ProductConfigd/85F5(HP) in SystemInfo.

I'm looking for something like below, but for M.2 SATA.

I found the video after a lot of jumping through hoops. You might want to take note that there's no space for an additional storage device in your laptop. That being said, you're only option is to replace the HDD with a 2.5" SSD.

Yeah. There is no space for additional HDD. What I thought was adding an M2 Sata SSD

Laptops are NOT desktops. You can't just add additional hardware on a whim. If there are no provisions (which includes space inside the case) for an additional drive then you cannot add one. If you want/need a larger/faster drive then you must replace what already exists.
