Installed new GPU, didn't display, took it out. Integrated graphics won't work anymore?

The PC has been working for many months, and I just got a graphics card back from SAPPHIRE after an issue with the previous card. Over that time without a GPU, I was relying on the integrated graphics.

Now this GPU wouldn't give a display. The GPU would spin up though.
I took it out and decided it could be broken, so I tried to plug my display back into the integrated graphics on the motherboard.
I did however plug in an 8-pin to 6+2 pin into the PSU for the GPU, but it was in the "4 + 4 pin CPU" connector. After this, I tried the molex to 6 pin. Fan spun up fine then.

But now the integrated graphics are not giving a display either, after the card is completely uninstalled.

Could I have broken anything by using the 4+4 CPU power slot for a graphics card? Maybe I'm missing something?

EDIT: The booting 'BEEP' noise from the system speaker ISN'T HAPPENING ANY MORE.

When the GPU was in and powered, the boot would fail, no beep as always...
but the fan wouldn't just spin, it would also stop, then spin again, then stop, then spin again. Maybe it's related to the problem, I don't know.

The CPU/processor fan has worked flawlessly since the beginning of time itself 😛

The GPU/graphics card fan though, while I still was testing the card, was having that weird on and off problem.

What happened to me was, the screen was blank for a bit when i just added the GPU to it.
Turns out it was simply installing the basic display drivers for the card and the screen came on about 2-3 minutes later.
Could be longer for you; I have an SSD for quick installation.
