I've just installed my new PSU, it's supposed to be fully modular but I feel like it's just as crowded in there!

Anyway I tried switching it on but nothing happened.

I've used the guide on here, the mob is plugged in, the cpu, graphics card, hdd, sdd and even my led lights but nothing.

I thought I knew what I was doing and assumed it'd work but now it hasn't and I don't know how to fix it I realise I know nothing!

Would you believe it I didn't actually press the on switch, I feel such an idiot.

But now I've brought it upstairs and plugged it in its a blue screen and it says no bookable decide detected, system will enter the bios setup utility.

The new PSU is a evga superflower p2

I can't remember my system specs offhand but it's a sapphire graphics card, an i7 processor and gigabyte mobo

Yes, sorry, I'm typing on my phone

There's two cables in the back of the sdd I've taken them out and put them back in, and there's two in the back of the hdd and I've done the same but still no joy

It's the little slot cables, like not a 4 pin or 6 pin just the little slimline ones. I've got it going to the hdd then the same cable going up to the sdd

There should be some sockets where SATA cables can plug in somewhere on the motherboard. It doesn't matter which one you plug it into, unless of course one of them is defected... Have you ran into any problems while plugging in the motherboard?

I found two unconnected sata cables! Didn't know where they go so looked where they were next to and saw two slots on the mobo labelled sata!

It's now up and running, no crackling sound from my PSU which is why I bought a new one

Not sure if it's related to all the insides but any chance I could have done something to mess up the sound? I'm plugging my speakers in and getting nothing

Are speakers plugged in to the rear of your motherboard or to a front connector?

Oh God, I'm so stupid, I don't know what's wrong with me tonight

The thing I was watching was on mute! Why didn't I think of trying something else like YouTube to see if there was sound? Why didn't I think that mute might have even been an option!!?
