I got a copy of WinXP from a friend (heh heh heh). I know it isn't retail, because when I inserted it, and opened it, there was a "serial.txt" file. Anyways, if you try to boot the CD, it should start the setup, right? (I'm asking people who have actually bought it...) I'm pushing to buy it if it works great, since it'd be nice to have an OS that I didn't steal, that's also worth having.

Don't flame me...I'm just testing it.

An OS is such a confusing word. You buy your computer, yet you need software made by one company to run it!

Heh, I had a friend burn me his copy of XP pro...commercial/educational version. He works at a college. :)

I also got it from a friend, who's cousin's really smart guy at some college in Fresno. Illegal...heh heh heh...

I'm pretty sure I found it. First page search, too. Dang, I gotta add this to my homepage. I know it's reputable, since by this site showed me how to slipstream SP2 into the Win2K CD. I'll have to print this out or something...

If you downloaded an Windows XP ISO off the internet, check out this page to make it bootable:
