Intel 667Mhz on Asus P3B-F?

Hey Guys! I'm looking on Ebay to put together a REALLY cheap system. For an MB I'm looking at the Asus P3B-F, and for those who know, I'm wondering if I'll be able to use an Intel Pentium 3 Slot 1 667Mhz. Or if you have any better suggestions for processor? I remember there were a few problems with the Pentium 3, I just wasn't researching stuff to in depth at the time, wondering if anyone knows of problems with these?

They'll work fine together....
Your much betetr off buying a Cheap AMD Athlon or AMD Duron processor and get a Board.....will still be cheaper then a 667MHz PIII......AND much better performance...

A Duron 750 will outperform a PIII 667 Outhandidly.......AKA with ease.... =)

Pentiums aren't "REALLY" cheap systems, especially not Slot 1. If price is your major concern, go with AMD.

The sis735 board for 67 and a 1ghz tbird for 67 will come in less than the p3 setup and put the smackdown on it.

Like fatty said, if you are worried about cash, go AMD.

I was actually interested in the SIS735 board also, which I did see for around that same price, but the 1ghz T-Bird, where do you shop, even pricegrabber doesn't go that low...

Actually you should set up your own company and then set your self up as a retailer. Then you get items even cheaper than they are on pricewatch. I did this. I just used my dad's tax id. Good way to get cheap prices.

Like I Said...go AMD, even the newest Duron (1.1Ghz) lay's the SMACK DOWN on the 1ghz Cu-Mine P3 and the new 1.2 Tully Celery.......
Im talkign extreme budget, get a T-Bird 1Ghz and OC the hell out of her =)
I'm sure she'll hit 1.5GHz with ease...
