Imagine a Virus, that would affect that "Chip". Terrorists holding millions of people hostage with a Virus... That kinda device would be Inpu/Output so you can "see" stuff or make the computer make things... I don't want to 😉

Sooo what happens when you fall asleep at your desk in the middle controling the computer? Would the chip start to interpret dreams and try to deliver the output?

A lot of arrests are going to be made, in order to stop crime before it happens.

If they can keep control when we want to give data to the computer and when we want to think to ourselves, then it could be really cool. But I don't need to be surfing the web with my girlfriend and then boobs pop into my head and the page automatically jumps to breasts all over the place. I'll save that for "me time".

Lol, that's HOT!

What are you talking about?! I surf for the ads. Don't you? How do you think I lost 10 pounds of stomach fat?

Better not have these, and a wired house ...after having sex with your wife, you find that you've sent three faxes to Bulgaria, ordered from Walmart, sent an e-mail to your buddy fred, realized you don't in fact know anyone named Fred, and started the coffee maker!

This type of work started years ago. Tech is pretty simple, they hooked electrodes up to particular locations in the brain which showed significant activity in relation to particular tasks. Much like an instruction set for a CPU, depending which electrodes get a "charge" from the brain, it translates to an instruction for the CPU to execute.

This is all one-way people, there is no "hacking the brain". There is no CPU implant (or at least not yet). It is simply 8, 16, 32, etc wires coming out of your head, and you connect that to the CPU. These wires are treated (even better chance with stem-cells) so that the body/brain doesnt reject them.
I am being very general here, obviously this is serious/complex stuff, but wanted to get it out there. I for one would love to sign up and test this out.

That's what you think! You probably have a chip in your brain now being controlled by The Man and you don't even know it! You need to do a Total Recall scene, look up your nose, and pull out that chip!

That's what they have working now but there are already prototypes of small chips that wirelessly transmit the information, or use methods to transmit the information to an antenna closer to the surface of the skull for a more powerful signal without overheating brain tissue.

On the bright side of this, people won't need to do drugs anymore to escape reality. They can just program the chip to run a psychedelic 3D screensaver!

On the other hand, if you felt the need to, how would you escape vistual reality if you felt permanently trapped with the chip in your brain?

LOL, maybe I do. I had nasal passage surgery years ago, and after the week of healing, I had to go back and get the stints removed...yeah...even the wife said it was like watching a real-life version of Total Recall and getting the probe out the nose. That was not fun...but I was able to breath great after that!

To randomizer: yep, cool stuff, using wireless transmitters allows a closed skull, no exposed wires.

I have some sort of implant. it seems to have many features, its been in my head for about four and a half years ever since being unconcious at a hospital.
It seems I've been used for research and development and training purposes. Also I've been psycologicaly abused bigtime. I've been trying to find a way to get rid of it ever since getting it and its like a game to those who put it there to thwart my efforts once I get started.
it communicates on several channels, I get a psycotic like distraction with an underlying command that seems to take once I become distracted. also the effects of forced hypnotism in sleep seems to be pretty strong. several tactics developed by the cia have been used on me ie: coersive approach to mind control, remote veiwing , and ruthless coldness. Also I've found web history going to their websites. Slavery is what it seems is the objective or my untimely demise. I've tryed to get into canada for help with the issue but was helf for several hours and declined.
my manipulators claim its called a mind tap,
it seems to be a bioelectronic communications interface / torcher device. if you can help get rid of it please contact me or have someone do so in person as e-mails turn up missing and my phone calls don't go where they should.
I have a scanner and federal comm frequencies max out the reception bars with the antenna off they are 359.275000 316.500000 . It seems to be rfid that skates as interference on other signals. or something like that
on the hospital records from where I think I got it it has a tracking id number 4154271 that combined with a mystery modems mac address attached to the frequencies seemed to lock up the signal. shortly after discovering that my scanner firmware mysteriously changed and it wouldn't work any more. my computers are allways crashing and won't let me use hard drives anymore. and windows disks won't work . Now I'm using ubuntu but can't select packages that it boots with. please if you can help do it fast as I think they are now trying to get me to submitt and be their slave or kill myself.

I think this is amazing technology, think of the possibilitys when this technology is tested and steadly working, it would help get rid of addictive behavour, help parkinsins disorder. It would change the way we surf the net, the only thing that worrys me is the more we use our brains to do an action our nero-parthways re-program themselfs so the same action can be done easier the next time, sometimes even become second nature, meaning our brains will get more lazy if we have chips doing the work for them.

wowee, ain't this piff???
I need one of these!!! I would pass all my GCSE exams with flying colours!

This is that New World order chip everyone has been talking about. They try to make you want it at first, then they force it on you!
