Intel Coffee Lake Gaming Results: i7-8700K Cheat Sheet

I can see 8700k and 7700k OC versions, but why compare these with other processors who are not overclocked. I am missing 1600x OC. Maybe we will see them with i5 8400k review.

^ I am guessing it's cuz the 1600X and 1800X offers almost the same performance except games like aots which uses all the cores available.

The 8600k and 8700k are very different cuz the i7 is hyperthreaded.

Much to my surprise the i5 beats the i7 7800x in 7 of the (FPS gaming) benchmarks!

There's barely any difference in performance between all different processors at 1440p so it's got nothing to do with it being 2017 or whatever.

It would be nice for some perspective.People are left with the perception that there will be a huge difference in gaming between these CPU. While there will be if you are using a GTX 1080 Ti at 1920x1080 and have a 165hz monitor.

In most scenarios. Such extremes won't be met. Like they'll have a GTX 1060 or be playing at 2560x1440 or 4K.

I don't think adding them would hurt but they wont show as much of s difference as 1080p. Seeing the difference helps to show the longevity of the CPU. Hell the old 2600K benchmarks were the same, games ran at lower resolutions, but just as they predicted that CPU was set to be able to hold out longer than the AMD equivalent or previous Intel offering.
