Intel CPU- Advance Replacements?

I will be buying a Retail Intel CPU, and the vendor only gives 7 days to
exchange, (it doesn't say from when, but another thing says from invoice, so
I will assume it isn't from receipt), which works out to anywhere form 1-4
days, in reality, (depending on transit time and passing a weekend or not.)

I am an experienced PC builder, so, I can get this
CPU/RAM/Board/VideoCard/PSU installed in time to test it.
But, I do have a relative in poor health living here, and it is possible
that I don't
test in time or the CPU fails in a few days.

So, I was wondering what Intel's warranty policy is. (Yes, I checked Intel's
site and searched Google and Google Groups, and I don't find any recent
info.)

I wonder if anybody has any links to this info., specifically, if they
provide *Advance Replacements*, so I could test my other parts in time for
their 30 day (really 24-27 day) warranties. If not, what would be the total
time lost? (I guess, where it is sent to, would be a factor.)

Don't buy from anyplace that has policies like this.7 days is just
ridiculous. Do a search at resellerratings.com for info of most PC parts
sellers.I would recommend newegg.com.They won't crosship but they give you
thity days.
Intel warraties are good.But as for turn around time they are slow.

It is worse, really just 1-4 days warranty, by the time it is received.
Also, NewEgg gives no warranty on many of their CPUs now, and those they do,
are only 7 days from invoice (again it is really less) now. Anyway, I had
used a vendor that gives one year, but is much more expensive, but I will go
with them, because a few days warranty is ridiculous. BTW, all of the
vendors with prices competitive with NewEgg in price and service (not many)
have a similar policy, AFAIK.

Vote with your wallet. And it couldn't hurt if more people sent an e-mail
telling these chumps the reason they lost a sale. I've done it.

Agreed. And, also I noticed that some of NewEgg's Mainboards have no vendor
warranty, as well. Even those with a nominal 30 days, it is not so great,
but consistent with other parts. Reading about Asus and Gigabyte's warranty
service, I like a one year vendor warranty (on everything, if possible.) And
it should be advance replacement, if it isn't, and one doesn't have a
reserve part while waiting, the warranty is useless.

I don't even consider NewEgg for CPU and Mainboard anymore, and since they
work in tandem with the Memory, this is the second time in a year, I have
gotten these parts elsewhere. I still consider them for other parts, but
this time, I didn't get anything from them.

Chief Value appears to be an affiliate or a copy-cat competitor of NewEgg,
and at least all Mainboards have a nominal 30 days, but again, CPUs are
nominally 7 days, which is actually less, making it ridiculous.
