Intel i5-4670 or do i need a i7-4770

im looking to play games like battlefield 3 and far cry 3 and im wondering if its really necessary for me to get the i7. the gpu im getting is a amd radeon hd 7770 and getting the i7 will really push my budget so i was wondering if its really needed.

No, an I5 will do the job great, if anything your limiting Factor will be the HD7770 more then the cpu

yeah im building a new pc and my budget is 1000 max

If you want to push your system get an i5 4750 and an AMD 7950. Don't waste money on an i7 unless you're often rending HD videos.
