Question Intel Raid 0

Hi, I just got a new ASUS laptop. Supposed to have two 1TB drives. Technically it does, but my storage is Intel Raid 0. I plan on upgrading my NVMe's to 2TB each in the future. If I'm going to lose my data to change from Intel RAID 0, I'd rather do it now before I install anything. I plan on doing a backup with Macrium reflect, but not quite sure of how to get rid of RAID 0. I don't think there's a way to do it without losing data. Am I correct? Any suggestions? All help is greatly appreciated. :)

Given that you cannot connect 4 RAID drives simultaneously to a laptop you'll just need a large external drive.

Simply image the RAID array to the external drive, replace the NVMe drives with the two larger ones and image it back. That's assuming you want a 4TB RAID0. If you want separate drives, install only one NVMe drive first and image it back to that.

It's easiest to leave the BIOS set on RAID even for separate drives (create RAID arrays each composed of only a single drive) to ensure Windows will boot up

If you've not installed anything yet, just do a full wipe and reinstall. With only ONE drive physically connected.
Add the other one later.
