AMD with AM2 and DDR2 is slower, not faster than current 939 chipsets.
And Conroe at 2.66GHz, (not at 3.0GHz which will be released at launch), was compared with a future FX-62 (meaning not currently and faster than currently available) and AMD still lost.

What is unfair is Intel not using a $500 to $800 mainstream chip and comparing that to an overclocked FX chip that costs over $1100!
Is this so hard to understand?

Exactly. If intel wanted to screw us over, they could have gotten a 3.33ghz EE Conroe, overclocked to 4 ghz and made AMD look like a third world joke. However, they kept their 20% benifit with a humble 2.66ghz chip..
 
Still, global warming remains a big issue that humanity will be dealing with.
BTW Warming will happen anyway. The sun gets hotter by the moment. Once it will near it's end life in Earth will be no longer possible due to high temperatures. The atmosphere will fade away. Nothing is ever lasting.

Give me any links that proves that. And please don't come here with the shitty preview made by THG of AM2 with the bug on the memory controller on it.
 
I said Intel and AMD chips don't directly affect this. You should really learn to READ.
And do you know what's an angle of incidenence? I'm surprised that such a smart ass doesn't mentions this.

OH for f*ck sake I was JOKING! Being funny at intels expence. God, I passed High School, I know what global warming is and isn't. Please just drop it. YOU won. I was trying to be funny, and you didn't get it. I won't joke like that anymore.

I was going to talk about how Conroe is being proven against an older technology, like say, WW2 Propeller planes vs Jet Planes. Hell, lets step back a bit further. Smooth Bore vs Rifles Bore rifles. There thats alittle better.

Now, since I wont be saying anything about the bias of this test, and Anandtechs "special" preview, I will get to my point.

Whether or not Conroe does gain the performance crown, AMD will get it back, and so on and so forth until we use up all the energy this world has to provide us and its a dust ball, and we become extinct faster than any species ever known.

So take your 10%, 20%, 50%, 200%, 5000% performance lead with a grain of salt. In 60-90 years, you will prbably be dead, and Intel and AMD would have formed an alliance and now only Mac stands against them and still has no market share.

I would like to thank George Carlin for his profound look on life, and how its taught me to not take anything everything so goddamn seriouly. Computer parts will come and go, people I know will only be here once(or a bunch if you are Buddist).
