Prescott up to 4GHz... What are your thoughts?

Live near Toronto and like to game but you can't make it to Quakecon?

Prescott is only up to 3.8Ghz. 4 Ghz has a question mark.

They seem to be slowing down the pace.

Isn't Prescott supposed to go up to 5GHz? According to this then there will be only 3 Prescott offerings (3.4, 3.6, 3.8GHz), I don't think that is correct cause I read somewhere that the later Prescotts are gonna ship with a 1066MHz FSB.

Yes it will scale to 5ghz. But Intel has stated that they will only reach that with tweaks and a more mature 0.09 process. And how far it can scale right now has zilch to do with how much it can scale months from now

Just because the graph stops doesn't necessarily mean Intel will stop ramping the speed.

I am curious to see what happens to Scotty once Tejas is released. Will it continue the speed ramp or will Tejas just take over?
