I trying to OC my E6600, and I've read that the TAT gives the most accurate Core Temps, so I downloaded that and installed it, but when I go to use it I get this error:

Error enumerating On Demand Clock Modulation support

Any ideas what this could be? I've googled the problem and found a ton of people saying they get the error, but no solutions. I'm using a DFI P965-S motherboard and Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme HS.

Not sure, but try Core Temp .95..i use it and TAT on my E6600, and Core Temp reads within ~1C of TAT. GL :)

edit: Have you tried uninstalling it, and then reinstalling? It may have just had troubles reading the sensors? the first time.

my friend told me this, im not positive its true tho, he said that when he overclocked he disabled a bunch of things in the bios, and that might cause tat not 2 work. not 100% sure tho

Core temp and tat give my the same core temps most of the time. Sometimes they are off 1-2 degrees. But you can use core temp instead of TAT if it is not working.

I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it with no luck. It may be the BIOS options though, I didn't check those. I did get Core Temp, which is very nice. It is showing temps of 24 and 25C of the two cores, while smartguardian (DFI's app) is showing 29C on the CPU. Is it normal for Core Temp to be lower? I'm definitely not complaining, I was just surprised.

Yeah, I think the CPU temp is fine now. I OCed it up to 3.4ghz with 1.51 volts, and under a full load with Orthos running it only got up to the mid 50sC, which I didn't think was too bad.

Now the NB seems to be a bigger problem. I can't get it below 50C, is that a safe temp for it? I'd like to put some active cooling in there, but there doesn't seem to be any room for a fan in there with the U120E on the CPU. I'm not sure what kind of temps are acceptable for the NB though, is 50s alright to run?

"The Intel Thermal Analysis Tool supports only Intel chipsets", can be read on the readme file included.... so, maybe your chipset is not Intel made?

I get exactly the same message when trying to use TAT. I've just given up now and use CoreTemp with Prime95. My Chipset is intel.

might be an option u disabled in the bios, not sure which one, but i believe thers one option that if u disable in the bios it wont let you use TAT
