Intel7 motherboards, do they make dual or quad boards yet

I would like to buy a new motherboard, but would like an extra spot for another processor in the future.

I googled couldnt find any at all.

Do they exists, or will they?

i heard the xeon ones run about the same as the new intel7 ones, even with dual.

plus i would like to use ddr3. so the question remains do they or will they make dual or quads or intel7?

The Intel i7 doesn't have the logic required to support multiple CPUs on a motherboard, therefore there's no point in making a multi-CPU motherboard for them. The X58 chipset only supports DDR3.

Xeon is Intel's name for all server chips. It doesn't change when the architecture does. Xeon 5500 series CPUs are the same as i7 except that they are able to run in multiple processor systems. It's true older xeons weren't as good, but the 5500s are actually the same CPU die as i7 is.
