I think that last setence is again, the misunderstanding of faith, and what drives those who have it.
A faithful believer knows hes been blessed and showered with love from God.
God says we are all brothers and sisters, regardless of color, belief or sin.

Compassion is derived thru God in the faithful, and last I heard, its an emotion

I do have a good example of this from my hometown. The Lutheran church here takes in homeless people for the night and feeds them if they need it, sometimes up to a week. The second you leave though they give you a bus ticket and make sure you take it out of the city. So it other words they are not doing it out of the good of their heart but because they want to see all homeless people out of their community. Needless to say the homeless people stay away from that church unless its the winter and they need to get to a warmer climate.

Unless its a ticket home, I would hope people of good sense would stay away from that church as well.

When younger, a friend went to a church with his parents.
He got caught having pot in his possesion.
Word got out to that church, and they were kindly asked not to attend.
Im glad they got out. As if churches werent places for sinners to go.

Look at Christs entourage, hookers and tax collectors, even Paul was a Christian killer.

Im not saying only the godless get it wrong

I believe in God AND Evolution. I believe that true science and true religion walk hand in hand.
