[citation][nom]znegval[/nom]Hopefully, but I doubt all those 60% who use Internet Explorer do so because they evaluated each option and chosed to use it. You can say that about the other ones because it implies that they know there's life outside of Internet Explorer (which let's face it, many people just don't know). It's been very interesting to see Internet Explorer development as soon as some serious competition showed up. They actually started to add new features instead of relying 100% on the Windows dominance. A small reminder of what monopoly can do to a product, and how competition can bring it back to life.[/citation]
I use IE8 on my netbook and laptop out of familiarity. I use IE all day at work, and the customers of my small business mostly use IE as well so it's the one I use the most in general.
Also, the last time I used Firefox it had horrible memory leaks causing the program to use 300+ MB of RAM after being used for an hour or two, even after closing excess tabs. That and the fact that I don't *need* to follow the crowd and "OMG IE sux lol!" causes me to just plain not want to use Firefox. It doesn't do much different than IE, and the only benefit I could find myself getting out of the use of Firefox would be the AdBlocker Plus and other add-ons. With that being said, I've used computers half my life so I'm used to just ignoring ads.
Bottom line: I have no reason to use Firefox.
