IO Gear KVM and Logitech wireless receiver

Logitech KVM worked fine under WinXP and Linux, now receiver needs to be plugged into "mouse" USB slot on kvm. The only problem is the KVM won't hot key unless the receiver is on the "keyboard" USB slot. This seems like a Win7 issue more than anything. Discuss.
